- Application: GenAI In Teaching and Learning
Are you...
- Interested in exploring generative AI within a supportive community?
- Curious about how to use AI in an efficient, ethically grounded way?
- Intrigued by the possibilities of AI tools to scaffold student critical thinking, creativity and exploration?
- Desiring closer connections with peers who share your goals?
Have we got a learning community for you! This community of inquiry will explore how GenAI can be a powerful tool for teaching and learning. We will engage AI with heathy skepticism—considering how to use the tools to maximize human capabilities and when they might push humans to expand our possibilities.
Your commitment...
- No prior experience with GenAI is necessary, just a willingness to experiment, to approach the process with a positive outlook and to maintain an open mind while considering AI-related issues.
- Attendance at a weekly 1-hour accountability session during which time you will work on your AI integration projects in the company of peers and facilitators who can provide assistance and support. Multiple times will be available in face-to-face, virtual and hybrid formats.
- Participation (synchronous or asynchronous) in three virtual, face-to-face or hybrid 90-min AI training workshops.
What you will receive...
- A semester of free access to Boodlebox.ai ($90 value).
- Tailored feedback to applying AI tools to your teaching context.
- Accountability and support to get started!
By the conclusion of the learning community, you will...
- have a set of AI assignments ready to go for spring semester,
- understand how to use Boodlebox.ai to support a range of learning activities, and
- have extensive practice with key skills such as:
- Collaborative use of AI
- Evaluating student AI prompting and output verification
- Designing custom bots
- Selecting among various GenAI tools (Boodlebox provides access to all major LLMs in a secure, private, energy efficient platform)
