Working Session Description
Complete Your Service-Learning Faculty Toolkit
Ready to move from ideas to implementation? This interactive session is designed for faculty who are interested in developing or enhancing a service-learning course with support from the WVU Center for Community Engagement.
While attendance at the Teaching Talk on Service Learning is not required, faculty are encouraged to attend first to gain an overview of service-learning principles and the support available through the Center for Community Engagement.
Bring your course ideas (or come ready to brainstorm) and work alongside Aerianna McClanahan (WVU Center for Community Engagement) as you complete the Service-Learning Faculty Toolkit. During this informal work session, you'll have dedicated time to work on your course with individualized guidance from the Center for Community Engagement, think through project ideas, identify community partnership needs, and ask questions as you work. Whether you're creating a new service-learning experience or adapting an existing assignment, you'll receive personalized support throughout the session.
Submitting the Faculty Toolkit is the first step in partnering with the Center for Community Engagement. After the session, our team will schedule a one-on-one consultation to discuss your course goals, identify potential community partners, and provide ongoing support as you develop your project.
