How do I register and what is the registration fee?

Conference registration will open during the midterm of spring semester. There is no registration fee to attend the conference. If you do not currently hold a campus parking pass, you will need to pay for metered parking.

May I submit more than one proposal?

Yes, you may appear on more than one proposal as a lead author or coauthor. Please limit yourself to no more than three proposals. (Faculty may be listed as a coauthor on an unlimited number of student-submitted proposals.)

Where can I find support as I prepare my conference proposal?

There are several places to find support. The WVU Teaching and Learning Center provides consultations to instructors developing SoTL projects, including conference proposals. The ADVANCE Center, and their affiliation with the NCFDD, includes scholarship support, research support, and writing groups. The Eberly Writing Studio provides consultation services and special events for students. WVU Libraries provides support to researchers and students.

Are Health Sciences Campus faculty eligible to participate in the conference?

Yes, if you are working or teaching on one of the health sciences campuses (including Charleston, Martinsburg, Bridgeport, etc.), you are welcome to participate in the conference. Please indicate which campus you plan to travel to if you would like to attend the May 13 in-person conference activities. This helps us to ensure an accurate head count as we plan our spaces.

With whom do I speak about accommodations or accessibility plans?

The Scholarly Teaching Conference is an official University event with activities held in Morgantown, Keyser, Beckley and on Zoom. Please let us know how we can make your conference experience enjoyable and accessible by contacting WVU’s ADA Coordinator at ada@mail.wvu.edu or by phone at 304-293-4750.
