2026 Scholarly Teaching Conference

Save the date! The WVU Teaching and Learning Center and the Office of the Provost will host the first annual Scholarly Teaching Conference at West Virginia University from May 13-14, 2026.
We are pleased to open the call for proposals to faculty, instructors, staff, and students across all WVU campuses.
Scholarly teaching is at the heart of what we do in the WVU Teaching and Learning Center. Through our programming and services, we encourage instructors to leverage evidence-based scholarship to inform their approach to teaching. We also support a range of programming and services for instructors as they disseminate their own scholarly teaching efforts through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). We welcome both applied, teaching-practitioner SoTL projects, and empirical, research-based SoTL projects!
