Call for Proposals

Accepted proposals will appear in the conference proceedings. The proceedings will be published in The Research Repository @ WVU, which is indexed in the Digital Commons Network and Google Scholar

Proposal Deadline: Closed as of January 31, 2026.


Proposal Templates

Please utilize the proposal templates provided below. These templates have been preformatted for digital accessibility and to conform to the final print layout for the published conference proceedings. Proposals that do not utilize the corresponding template will not be accepted.

Preconference Workshops

We invite proposals for preconference workshops to be held on the campuses of WVU Potomac State College in Keyser, WVU Institute of Technology in Beckley, or West Virginia University in Morgantown on the morning of May 13, prior to the afternoon poster session, keynote, and panel.

Poster Sessions

Poster presentations are welcome on any teaching and learning topic, including effective teaching practices or research projects. Those accepted to present a poster will be invited to record an audio narration to accompany their work. We ask that poster presenters attend their campus poster reception on the afternoon of May 13 if possible.

Concurrent Session Track 1: Effective Teaching Practices

Track 1 is for those who wish to share a practice they have found to be effective in their own teaching. Describe the background that led to your adoption of this practice and how the practice benefits teaching and learning. (50 minutes; please reserve time for questions)

Concurrent Session Track 2: Research on Teaching and Learning

Track two is for empirical research on any topic within teaching and learning. Systematic, empirical approaches to SoTL projects are also suitable for Track 2. Proposals submitted to this track should have an approved IRB as appropriate. (50 minutes; please reserve time for questions)
