We understand parking in Morgantown can be a challenge. Flexible parking options are available for WVU Permit Holders when visiting our Downtown or Evansdale locations.

Those with parking permits on the Downtown, Evansdale and Health Sciences campuses can temporarily park in other designated parking areas on campus. Flexible parking is for employees making stops between campuses. You are not permitted to park in the same permit area for more than one consecutive day. Refer to the Transportation, Parking and Mail Services website for more information about the flexible parking policy.

Downtown Campus

Downtown campus and sign for parking area 5 at the intersection of University Ave and Falling Run Rd. The Teaching and Learning Center is located on the basement level of Stewart Hall (Room B20). If you have an Evansdale or HSC parking permit, we recommend parking in Lot 5 on the Downtown Campus.

Lot 5 is located next to Field Hall at the intersection of University Ave and Falling Run Road. Travel in the direction of Field Hall and follow the sidewalk along University Ave until you reach the Mountainlair Student Union. You can safely cross University Ave at the Mountainlair crosswalk. Stewart Hall is the building to the right of Mountainlair. Direct access into the Teaching and Learning Center is available via a set of stairs at the Prospect Street entrance.

Accessible Parking and Ramp at Stewart Hall

Accessible parking at Stewart Hall is available in Lot 25, directly behind Stewart Hall. You can access this lot from Prospect Street. A ramp is provided on this side of the building. These spaces are also open to visitors without a WVU parking permit so long as you have a state issued handicap placard. These spaces have a 2-hour time limit in addition to the placard requirement. If the spaces are occupied, there are paid parking spaces along Prospect Street using the Park Mobile app. If these spaces are inaccessible to you and you need accessible parking, please contact transportation by calling 304.293.5502.

Beechurst PRT Stop

If you prefer to take the PRT to the Downtown Campus, we recommend the Beechurst PRT stop. Travel in the direction of the Mountainlair Student Union. You can safely cross University Ave at the Mountainlair crosswalk. Stewart Hall is the building to the right of Mountainlair.

Evansdale Campus

Evansdale Library and sign for parking area 46 at the intersection of Evansdale Drive and Research Way. The Teaching and Learning Center is located on the ground level of Evansdale Library (Room G01). If you have a Downtown or HSC parking permit, we recommend parking in Lot 46 on the Evansdale Campus.

Lot 46 is directly across the street from Evandale Library (near the WVU Greenhouse) at the intersection of Evansdale Dr and Research Way. (Note that the Evansdale Library parking lot, Lot 44, is reserved for Evansdale permit holders.)

Accessible Parking at Evansdale Library

Accessible parking at Evansdale Library is available in Lot 44, near the front entrance of the library. These spaces are also open to visitors without a WVU parking permit so long as you have a state issued handicap placard. These spaces have a 2-hour time limit in addition to the placard requirement. If the spaces are occupied, there are additional spaces in the lower parking lot at the base of the library near the receiving door. The receiving door is not open to the public. Engineering PRT Stop

If you prefer to take the PRT to the Evansdale Campus, we recommend the Engineering PRT stop. Travel in the direction of the Engineering Research Building to reach the Evansdale Library.
